Tamarack Dirty Jump Jam
On August 17th, Tamarack hosted their 1st annual Dirty Jump Jam. It was an evening of twists, flips, music and food. For an event that was thrown together at the last minute and only gave competitors two weeks notice, it was awesome! The turnout was huge and the schwag give away was insane!
Art dropping in.
Art throwing a 360. Art's 360's were out of hand that evening. He also went on to win the Idaho State DH series on Sunday.
While the practice runs were taking place in the park, there was also the Payette Lakes Downhill series taking place right at the same time. It was a two run format and had a huge turnout! Above are spectators checking out the action as racers came down the Firebird Trail.
Thanks to everyone that came out and particapited in this event! Thanks to Spectrum Techwear, Bell Helmets, Smith Optics, Blackburn Pumps, Transition Bikes and Tamarack Resort in getting this event up and running! See everyone next year!

What's Happening at Transition Bikes

Riding season is in full swing right now and Transition Bikes is crazy busy riding and bringing you new products. Here is the latest.
New Siren Prototype
TBC is now riding the new girls freeride bike called the Siren. The bike is a 6" travel freeride frame designed for women. They took input from over 30 female riders to design a bike specifically for them. The frame has ultra low standover. They had girls that are 5'0" and still have great standover on the frame and love it. The frame also is very light for girls to throw around with a lower center of gravity and short stays so the ladies can pull the front end up easily. Production bikes should be available Dec/Jan.
New Clothing
TBC has 4 new t-shirt designs ready to go. They will also be working on a new jersey and long sleeve T in the next month. Check it out at http://transitionbikes.com/2007/Accessories_Clothing.cfm
New BottleRockets Here
TBC has gottn the new production run of BottleRockets in with the new colors White, Raw or Baby blue. The frame remains unchanged for the upcoming year. Why mess with perfection?
New Sprocket
TBC has just finished up his design of a new 28 tooth sprocket and now have them available for purchase in 5 colors (black, gold, green, red, blue).
New Chainguide
TBC has also just finished up their design of thier new single-ring chainguide. The chainguide works with 32-36 tooth chainrings and is available in our standard 5 color palette (black, gold, green, red, blue). We'll have pictures of the guide on our website in the next couple days so stay tuned.
New Colors and Decals
Heads up for the upcoming year. All of TBC's bikes will be coming with new decals kits so you guys can customize your bikes however you want. Each frame will come with a decal kit that features 4 different colors of decals to decorate your bike. Currently we only have new BottleRockets with the new colors and the rest of our frames with new colors will trickle in throughout the winter and early spring when we do new production runs.
Blindside Production Frames
The new 8" travel Blindside frames will be here around September 12th and ready for purchase.
For more info about any of these products check out Transition Bike's Website for the latest and greatest!
Labor Day Sale!!
We will also have live music and free food and drink on Saturday afternoon with the Silver Tip Hat Band. There will also be a lemonade stand with all sales going to benefit McPaws.
Finally we are offering our first annual Kids Bike Swap. Call Andy or Wolfe at 325-3323 for more information. This is a great opportunity to come to Donnelly, shop with us and then head to Roseberry to celebrate at the Ice Cream Social. We hope to see you all there.

Tamarack DH Championships
Here are some pictures of the Knobby Tire downhill state championships this last weekend at Tamarack.

This is Scott Bikes pro rider Silas cleaning stage fright with style. He got 3rd place that day.
Pro Peak's newest employee, Tyler, rounding one of the sharp corners in Hibernater.
Pro Peak rider, Nick, poaching a line down the chute in Hibernater after being turned down for an expired NORBA card.
Pro Peak rider Skye in a post stage fright stomping stupor. He had the air knocked out of him, his already injured knee bashed, and his shoe tossed a good thirty feet downhill.
Notice the serious amount of dust shoveled onto his face by his helmet.
Tyler and Charley from trail crew riding up for their second run.
Darren Lightfield going for a jog down stage fright.
Pro Peak rider Art coming out of the berm after the stage fright drop. Art got second that day and won the entire series in points.

Fire

Just a couple of pics looking east of the store at the Sandy Fire. The smoke in the valley has been hit and miss lately. Today was a great day and the temp was just right.

These are some pictures looking into the valley from Paddy Flats road. A few of us went and road from the campground for a after work ride the other evening. Action shots to come.
