Free Tamarack Pass

...but you got to work to get it. This Saturday, the 14, Tamarack is going to be having a trial work day and if you show up they will give you a free summer season pass. Word has it everyone will be meeting at 8:30am at the Operations Dome (tent) and heading out from there.

So it snowed a bunch yesterday. I had about 4 inches on my deck in Bear Basin, Brundage showed about 7, Tamarack got a few. With summer offically starting in ten days let hope we have a change in the weather. One nice thing to think about is how tacky the trails are going to be.

Since I want a free pass and I am sure you do too, we'll see ya all on Saturday!

Rain, Rain, Go Away

With all this crappy weather we have been building and building bikes getting ready for when the season is in full swing. We have tons of bikes from Specialized for you to choose from at great prices. Many different mountain, road and kids models in stock now!! Our Nirve crusiers are here with 10 different styles to choose from.

This weeks bike special is a 2008 Specialized Stumpjumper Comp. The Best Gets Better. With an all-new chassis design that is lighter, more efficient, features a lower stand-over height and the same incredible handling, the completely redesigned Stumpjumper FSR continues to be best bike for the trails most of us ride, most of the time.
The completely redesigned Stumjumper FSR chassis features an ultra-refined and focused design, one that's been completely integrated with critical suspension components. The top-tube of the new Stumpjumper FSR sweeps down to ensure maximum standover height and boost overall rigidity.

We are selling this bike in-store for $2100, marked down from $2400.

Looks like the sun just came out for a bit before more storms move in, going for a quick road ride...

Tamarack Trail Update

Summer is Here! With all the recent rain and warmer temps, the snow has been melting away allowing for some of the trails to open up. After making a run up to the resort today, most of the lower trails are open with a few puddles here and there. The Jump park looked good with a few streams running through it from all the run-off. Firebird and surrounding trails were still pretty wet and needed some more "dry time." The challenge park is open with no snow and dry obstacles.

Its looking like there wont be much of a trail crew, maybe one or two guys, which means some volunteer hours to get the trails up and running are in order. A few of us here at the shop are going to be going out regularly to get the jump park up and running. Once more snow melts up high and the rain begins to subside, we will be making rounds on the trails to make sure there aren't any hazards and try to buff them out as much as possible.

Tamarack is planning on opening up full summer operations with trail lifts running starting June 20th and will be running Wednesday thru Sunday from 10am-4pm. We are super anxious for the biking season to be in full swing and look forward to seeing you out on the trails!!
